Belfort

TheMarkt is dominated on one side by the bell tower of Belfort, which belfry is 83 mt high.
Raised between the XIII and the XV century, Belfort represents the symbol of Bruges. In a room inside the tower are kept all the statutes and acts of the city council, which remind us of the prosperous commercial period of Bruges. A spiral staircase leads to the top, from where one can enjoy a magnificent view of the city.
